Oct 04, 2018 by apost team

The fact that vinegar isn't just great for cleaning is no longer a secret. Vinegar can do so much more than just clean your kitchen! It can be a universal weapon in every household, because it is the optimal solution for almost every problem. Below are a few tips that more than justify that vinegar has earned its title of universal weapon.

Clogged drain

istockphotos.com/Geo-grafika If your drain is clogged once again and you don't have drain cleaner on hand, or if you don't want to bring this chemical into your home at all, then this tip is ideal. Simply add some white vinegar and baking soda to the drain, and the clog will be loosened. After the mixture foams, simply rinse out the drain, and everything will work perfectly again! By the way, about half a cup of baking soda and about a cup of vinegar are enough to solve even very stubborn blockages easily.

Remnants of tape

Tape is a great way to hang posters or cute string lights. However, the annoying remnants of tape are not only not nice to look at, but you can also get stuck on them. To solve this problem, all you need is a little white vinegar. Ideally, you would apply the vinegar to the affected area with a spray bottle and allow it to sit for a few seconds. This will allow the white vinegar to really seep into any leftover tape. Afterwards the remains of the tape can be easily removed with a cloth or paper towel.

Smelly garbage can

istockphotos.com/jganser Even if your trash can is empty, does it still have a strong odor? Soak some bread or toast in vinegar and put it in the garbage can overnight. The next morning, the smell will be a thing of the past! This tip can also be used on many other stinky things.

Too many cleaning chemicals

istockphotos.com/sasimoto Cleaning agents are available in abundance. It's no wonder that you lose track of what everything does and what you have very quickly. We therefore recommend an all-purpose cleaner to use in every room of your house. To make this, fill a spray bottle a third of the way up with vinegar and the remainder with water then add a few splashes of conventional cleaning fluid. This all-purpose cleaner is perfect for fighting dirt in the kitchen and bathroom.

Then simply cover the glass or bowl with cling wrap. Don't forget to punch a few holes in it. This way the fruit flies can enter the container, but they can't come out again.
