A video posted in 2018 shows kids and their dogs from five different families having the best time together.

Every child who is fortunate enough to grow up with a dog in their life can testify to the great happiness brought each day by their furry friend. Indeed, canines develop powerful connections and loving bonds with children just as easily as they do with adults, sometimes even more so. But just what is the special sauce that makes kids and dogs get along so swimmingly with one another? Any parent that has raised a dog and child under the same roof together understands why this question is so important.

When a young child and their dog form a bond, it’s like nothing else on this earth. When you think about it, it really makes a lot of sense as children are the more curious, more playful version of their stuffier grown-up counterparts. Since dogs are always up for games or exploring, children fit their needs perfectly! However, there’s one video that truly puts this special bond between dogs and kids in the limelight. Aptly called “Kids Growing Up With Their Best Friends”, it highlights for the entire internet the power that’s held in the friendship between child and canine.

The first video begins with a little toddler, Rubie, and her two Bernese mountain dogs, Biggie and Wooster. The little girl is not even half the size of her dogs, but they play together perfectly. Being so big, the dogs even support her as she climbs clumsily up the stairs. Rubie is filmed sweetly feeding water to one of them who was lying lazily on the living room floor.

The next video is that of Brego and Nami, the Weimaraners, who waited nine long months to cuddle with their baby brother, Jedi. Now they take naps together frequently.

Then there's Barnum, Bailey and, Tahlulabelle the pugs go everywhere with their sister Kennedy. "Now she's my best friend in the whole wide world," says the little girl in the video. We can't tell the pugs apart, but we're sure all three of them are her best friends.

Lebowski the pit bull is Scarlett’s best friend, and their sleeping together every night proves just that. Scarlett's mother shared that when she asks her daughter if she wants a brother or sister, she says, "Nah, I'm good," implying that Lebowski is all the company she needs.

Last but not least, Fen the Great Dane goes on adventures with his baby brother Landon. Fenway used to be an only child, and his mother describes him as a "very spoiled dog." Now he and his little brother Landon play hide-and-seek together and love going on walks.
