Video: Father Of Four Thinks Giving Birth Is Easy Until They Hook Him Up To A Simulator

All mothers will tell you that becoming pregnant was a joy unequaled by most other things in life. They will also tell you the process of giving birth is worse than most things in life.

Many men underestimate the pain of childbirth and some have been bold enough to proclaim the process is an easy one to endure. One husband spoke this untruth recently and found out just how wrong he was.

Michael Richardson, a father of four, accepted the challenge of being hooked up to a labor simulator after telling his wife over and over that giving birth was not as difficult as women claim.

Jodie has been married to Michael for 12 years now and was on hand to record the moment, then post it on social media. 

Viewers find the look on Michael's face hilarious when the first of the simulated contractions make their impact known to him. It only gets worse from there and Michael is soon writhing in pain as the force of the contractions grow stronger. Jodie laughs aloud when her husband can only stand the pain for a few seconds before he starts reaching for the wires connected to the device causing his pain.

When Michael was unable to disconnect the machine, he flailed wildly with his legs and begged Jodie to stop the simulator.

Michael admitted to Daily Mail later the pain was worse than anything he could imagine. He said the pain was tolerable at first but quickly grew worse. He said before long it felt as if he was being stabbed in the stomach and groin. Michael says the machine was only at five when he decided he could not take any more.

Michael says he has a newfound respect for what women endure during childbirth. He also takes back all the insensitive comments he has made about the process over the years. Michael was clear in stating he would never take part in such an experiment again.

'I feel sorry for women who go through childbirth. I will never moan at my wife again,' added Michael. 

Jodie shared the video online and friends of the couple thought it was hilarious. They also commended Michael for taking the challenge.

The revelation only goes to show there are areas where women possess more strength than men. Michael is one man who will no longer contest this fact.
