Vet Calls Cat With "Deformities" The Weirdest Cat He Has Ever Seen

While some people may think that Lil Bub is a cat that is just plain weird, others are completely in love with this adorable animal.

Mike Bridavsky found the kitten in a tool shed in Indiana a few years ago. The kitten did not resemble any of her siblings. Mike picked up the kitten with obvious deformities and she immediately started purring. Once she put her head on Mike's shoulder, he knew that he had to take her home.

As a perma-kitten, Lil Bub will remain small her entire life. Because of her extreme case of dwarfism, the cat has smaller than average limbs that limit her mobility. In addition, her lower jaw is shorter than the upper jaw counterpart. Her tongue is also always hanging out because she does not have teeth. As a polydactyl cat, Lil Bub has extra toes on all of her paws, further inhibiting her ability to move around easily.

When Mike officially adopted Lil Bub, he took the cat to the vet who diagnosed all of her problems while also calling her the weirdest cat he had ever seen. This did not sway Mike's commitment to providing Lil Bub with a forever home.

Despite all of the physical challenges, Lil Bub is a happy cat who loves hanging out with Mike wherever he goes. Mike was so enamored by his cat that he started a blog for her. The pictures and stories quickly went viral, making Lil Bub one of the most famous cats in the world. She even has a children's book out about her and her adventures. In addition, her fans can buy specially branded Lil Bub merchandise.

One of the goals of the blog is to spread awareness about pets with special needs so that more people are willing to step up and adopt them. The Lil Bub Fund is a unique partnership with ASPCA with donations going to programs that help animals with special needs.
