Various Portraits Of The Royal Children Over the Years

Official portraits of the royal family are always a delight, but especially when the portraits are of the younger royals since they're not seen as often at official events. A number of newer portraits were recently released on the official Instagram page of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, so to celebrate, we've compiled a range of portraits of the royal children from over the years.

Looking all grown up, Princess Charlotte stands at an official event looking prim and proper in her pea coat. She's just too adorable for words.

Dressed up to the nines in his cute white shirt, blue shorts, white socks, and black shoes, baby Prince Louis looks too cute, while mom Kate Middleton looks stunning in pastel yellow.

Ahead of her fifth birthday on May 2nd this year, a number of new images of the young princess were released on the official @kensingtonroyal Instagram account. In the photos, young Charlotte looks adorable, as she dons a houndstooth dress with grey tights and black patent shoes. 

Taken while she was helping to pack up and "deliver food packages for isolated pensioners in the local area," the young princess appears happy to be assisting however she can. Her mother Kate Middleton took the portraits herself.

Another gorgeous birthday post to the Duke and Duchess' official Instagram page, this time it was Prince Louis' turn. Ahead of his second birthday on April 23rd of this year, the portrait showed the young prince playing around with colorful paint on his hands. Once again taken by the Duchess (she's quite the professional photographer), the photos have a warmth that is truly joyful. 

In another post the following day, more photos of Prince Louis from the same photo session were posted, this time showing that things don't always stay clean with kids, as he's shown with paint all over his cheeks!

Taken and posted at the start of the last school year, in September of 2019, this charming photo of Prince George and Princess Charlotte in their Thomas' Battersea school uniforms is simply adorable. Not only do they look prim and proper dressed for school, but their affection for each other as siblings is clear.

In a post from last year, this sweet photo shows Prince George laughing as he lays on the grass in the garden of his family's Kensington home, while wearing an England soccer jersey. Once again, the Duchess of Cambridge took the photo herself, and it was posted to Instagram on the occasion of his sixth birthday on July 22nd, 2019.

Not long after his birth, this heartwarming photo of baby Archie holding his father Harry's finger was posted to the Sussexes Instagram page to celebrate Father's Day. What an incredibly beautiful moment between father and son!

On the occasion of little Archie's birth, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared their news with the world and his full name, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, with this touching black-and-white photo. In it, both parents and baby can be seen alongside the Queen and her husband Prince Philip, as well as Meghan's mother Doria Ragland.
