Usher Performs 'Amazing Grace' During Lakers' Tribute To The Late Kobe Bryant

On Friday, January 31, Usher performed a touching rendition of 'Amazing Grace' before the Los Angeles Lakers played the Portland Trail Blazers at the LA. Staples Center.

The heartfelt song was performed as a tribute to the late Kobe Bryant, it being the Lakers' first game since his untimely demise.  

The superstar RnB artist was accompanied by a pipe organ throughout the performance, while behind him stood two floral arrangements that displayed the numbers 8 and 24, Bryant's numbers when he played for the Lakers. The song was followed by a video montage of some of Bryant's most amazing moments as reported here by CBS Sports.

Usher was photographed just before the game, sitting in the stands, deep in thought amongst a sea of his friend Bryant's jerseys.

The two men shared a close bond, and only on the previous Monday, the 41-year-old musician posted a photo of himself with Bryant, writing the caption, "Missin You..."
