Rodents can cause major damage to your camper by chewing nonchalantly through particle board, fabric, wood and wire. They can also leave other nasty surprises that can lead to serious respiratory diseases that humans can contract once they breathe it in.

Now that you know how bad it could get, keep yourself and your family safe by trying these effective mice repellent ideas. These repellents are cheap, safe and painlessly easy to do without the need for rodent traps.

Rodents dislike the strong fragrance of certain soaps and oils. Try using strongly scented male deodorants and soaps to scare them off.

You can also use mothballs, dryer sheets or soak a bunch of cotton balls with peppermint oil as a safe and effective method to deter these pests. If you've opted for dryer sheets, then you have to remember to replace them with fresh ones often because they can quickly lose their fragrance.

If your camper, home or garage has any holes, gaps or cracks on the walls that are at least the size of a quarter, then you'll need to cover them. Try stuffing the holes of these potential rodent pathways with steel wool and aluminum foil.

Mice will not waste their time trying to chew through metal and will eventually leave to find another home to pester. Remember, you should always keep your camper nice and clean after using it. Make sure all of your food products are well-sealed and stored away in a high place.
