Upset Bride Kicked A Veteran Out Of Her Wedding When He Showed Up In His Military Uniform As He Stole The Spotlight From Her

Like it or not, there are certain traditions everyone is expected to abide by. In some cases, it doesn't matter if the tradition is unreasonable or outdated, a tradition is a tradition.

After hundreds of years, most Christian nations still follow certain traditions when it comes to weddings. Since the mid 1800s, the only woman wearing white in the wedding party is supposed to be the bride.

It's also tradition to let the bride and groom have their day. They are supposed to be the center of attention. Considering all the time and money the bride and groom put into the wedding, they deserve to have that much consideration, so they believe.

For brides, the wedding day is a scared thing. Their first wedding is something they started planning when they were six years old. Surely, it's easy to understand why the bride and in some cases the groom might be a little sensitive on their wedding day.

Unfortunately, one young man recently neglected to follow wedding protocol.

Of all things, he showed up at a wedding and reception in full military uniform - complete with an array of sparkling medals. Clearly, he is a proud man. He's also a young man who might need some education on wedding etiquette.

He looked handsome and gallant standing is his dress uniform. While other guests might have been impressed, the unnamed bride was not among them.

The bride felt threatened that the attention was being focused on the soldier and not herself. The man behaved perfectly during the time he was in attendance. While the bride initially attempted to let it slide, vanity eventually got the best of her.

This is what the bride initially had to say on Reddit:

"Now, I have nothing against anyone in the military but this was a black tie optional wedding and frankly it felt very out of place and it seemed like he was just trying to show off. My wedding had over 300 guests and nobody else felt the need to wear something to make them stand out."

While the young ladies in attendance were making a fuss about the soldier, the bride's anger hit a fever pitch. To that, she stated: "If he wants to wear that to his own wedding then fine, but the whole point of having a dress code at a wedding is so that no one guest will stand out too much."

She posted that she finally asked the young man to leave, something she admitted she felt bad about. The comments on her post were mixed.

Most traditions are good things, but you all have to keep some kind of perspective.
