Undeniably Mesmerizing 3-Year-Old Toddler Left Her Father Stunned When She Sang ‘Part of Your World’

In 2016, everyone was captivated by the voice of 3-year-old Claire Crosby when her video singing "The Little Mermaid's" hit song "Part of Your World" was played almost everywhere on the planet. 

The video has raked in millions and millions of views worldwide, with the internet falling in love with how adorable little Claire sounded and how fitting her voice with the innocence that Jodi Benson first sang. 

Apparently, Claire's father, Dave Crosby, was actually surprised when he heard his daughter sing the classic fairytale song for the first time. Read on to learn more about Claire and how her iconic video on the internet came about.

Speaking to KSL, Dave remembered when he temporarily left her daughter, Claire, in the lobby, she had everyone smitten. 

"A few months ago, I was paying for an oil change, and when I turned around (Claire) was singing 'Little Mermaid' in the lobby while everyone had their phones out recording her," he said. 

Dave also revealed that her little daughter "routinely dressed" as if small animated birds were flying beside her every morning like a fairytale princess. Claire's pastime is singing most Disney Princess songs, her father also recalled. 

Many were surprised by Claire's very clear enunciation at three years old. 

"Somehow, she learned to speak and enunciate really well at such a young age, and I think that has made it easier for her to hear and understand the words so that she could memorize them. She has an amazing memory," Dave explained to the outlet at the time. 

When Dave uploaded the video on their YouTube account, the world was smitten by how impressive and adorable little Claire was at the time. Dave, a musician and freelance record producer, recorded his daughter in a home studio, seemingly making it as if she were a recording artist. 

As of 2023, Claire's original video on YouTube already amassed more than 25 million views and over 280,000 likes. 

"She would ask me if she did a good job," Dave remembered his daughter asking him, to which he responded, "'Of course,' I would always tell her she did amazing, and then she would run around the room celebrating."

On May 2023, Claire, already a 10-year-old, sang the song again in an aquarium, with a more mature voice but with the same cuteness and innocence as she had when she was three years old.
