Their Breathtaking Routine

Davis and Rosilier represented the United States for the women’s pairs competition at the Acrobatic Gymnastics of San Antonio according to Metaspoon. The two champions had been working together for years and brought home plenty of awards for their beautiful routines. It was clear that they had been paired up for so long as their performance at the 26th Annual World Championships Acrobatic Gymnastics in April 2018 was absolutely breathtaking to watch due to their amazing chemistry and choreography.

They performed a routine to “The Sound of Silence” by Simon & Garfunkel. Filled with cartwheels, layouts, splits and lifts, the performance was a show-stopper. Throughout the routine, the female gymnasts proved that they put all of their trust in the other as one strongly held her teammate high in the air for several seconds, allowing the audience to fully witness the sheer talent they two had. Following this stunt, one gymnast fell easily into a split as she continued to hold her teammate high in the air.

As the lyrics “but my words like silent raindrops fell” played over the speakers, one of the gymnasts elegantly threw herself to the ground to strike a strong poise before being picked up by her partner to perform a backflip in the air. Never losing focus, the two gymnasts moved simultaneously across the mat, performing tricks and stunts and flowing with finesse.

Metaspoon reported that Davis and Rosilier’s coach, Vladimir Vladev, stood off to the side looking extremely proud. Everyone should be proud of these gymnasts and their goosebump-invoking routine as they took home fifth place for their difficult, artistic performance.
