In-ground pools are a hazard for homeowners. Even with fencing, netting, and other restrictive features, an animal or person can easily fall into the water by accident. For those who do not know how to swim or how to exit an in-ground pool, the situation can turn deadly quickly. This is what happened when two baby deer happened to fall into a family's in-ground pool in Parma, Ohio. As scared as these two animals were, it is a miracle the homeowner was home and attempted to get them out before resorting to placing an emergency call to the Parma Policy Department.

Cleveland 19 reports that after attempting to coax the two baby deer out of the pool and assist them in escaping for over an hour, the exhausted homeowner did the only thing she knew. Placing a call to the Parma Policy Department was, perhaps, the saving grace for these two animals. Responding to the home, even the police officers were at a loss for a solution upon immediate inspection. Putting a plan together quickly, the officers sprang into action to save two baby deer from an unfortunate fate.

A Good Ending to a Scary Story

Once they worked together, the police officers were able to devise a plan that consisted of cornering the deer in the pool and working as a group to lift them out. As seen in the video below, once one officer was able to grab hold of the leg of one of the baby deer, the strong officers were better able to hoist them out of the pool and gently place them on solid ground. Grabbing the babies out one at a time, the officers and homeowners were both relieved at the outcome of this scenario.

Thankful Creatures Show Their Appreciation

Not only were the human spectators thankful for the interaction of the officers, but the baby deer also showed their gratitude. Making sounds that resonated as "cheering," the baby deer thanked the officers in the only way they knew how.

Tired, but happy to be rescued, the baby deer will forever be thankful for the officers who put skills to good use on one fateful day. Show this video to your friends, as well! And let us know what you think of this good deed.
