Twin Soldiers Cause Reaction They Did Not Expect With Surprise Homecoming At School

Anyone with siblings knows how special it is to have an instant playmate, bodyguard, and confident from early childhood. And even after adulthood, the memories of a childhood with a best friend who bears the same last name will replay in our minds over and over.

Maybe today you and your siblings live close to each other. Or maybe you live far away from each other and stay in touch through the telephone. But the situation gets more complicated when a sibling enlists in the military.

One 8-year-old in Stewartville, Minnesota lived in a home with two twin brothers who were a few years older than him. He idolized his older brothers during his early childhood and found it difficult to adjust when they were both gone seemingly in the blink of an eye.

The holidays would be the worst. The twins had never been away from the family during these special times.

As fate would have it, the twins were given permission to visit their family for their first holiday as Army soldiers. They decided they would surprise their little brother at school.

On the day they would spring the surprise, the twins joined their mom for a drive to their younger brother's school. The twins had already requested permission from the school to spring the surprise and administrators said 'yes.'

The twins walked down the hallway a few steps ahead of their mother. She was filming the surprise reunion.

The younger brother was faced straight ahead and paying close attention to the chalkboard. He did not notice his older brothers had entered the classroom. His teacher, who was wise to what was about to unfold, suddenly asked 'look who's here.'

The first twin mouthed the words "Hi, buddy."

The eight-year-old ran and leaped into his brother's arms. It seemed he would never let go until he heard the second twin say "I'll wait my turn." The boy then ran toward his other brother.

The video of the reunion has been popular with viewers online. The comments have been supportive and heartfelt.

The younger brother's classmates were also supportive. Many of them were shocked about what was happening in their classroom.
