Twins are just so fun. Any twin will tell you it’s like having a built-in best friend. You’ve known them your entire life, so you both have inside jokes, secret handshakes, and memories to spare. Some sets of twins even develop their own language. A set of twins from Texas have shared the same dream since they were little, but now they’re going on two different paths.

Aubrie and Emma Kuhrt have been inseparable since they were babies. They’ve always done the same things and been in the same classes. They also have the same commitment to service. Ever since they were in middle school, they’ve wanted to join the military. When their teacher asked them what they wanted to do, Aubrie and Emma both said the military was their goal.

The Kuhrt twins are going to two different military academies and will be apart for the first time since they were small. Emma is going to West Point and Aubrie is going to the Air Force Academy reports Fox News.

The twins seem to agree that being apart will be hard, but it will help them develop their own identities. Twins are, after all, two different people, even though they might look alike and share some of the same mannerisms. Aubrie said that they will definitely send each other lots of letters.

Aubrie and Emma’s parents couldn’t be prouder of their daughters. Shannon Kuhrt said that her daughters did the application process all by themselves. The twins and their parents have a strong faith in God. The twins said that this faith helped lead them on their current path.
