People around the nation are patiently waiting for scientists to find a vaccine for the COVID-19 pandemic. However, while waiting, people are encouraged to curb the control of the virus, with many teens playing an active role.

Three triplets from California, whose family name is Joseph, have teamed up to create safety kits for the homeless, in a bid to keep them safe from the virus too.

Although regular handwashing and wearing masks are a great way to stay safe, homeless people might not have a constant supply of these things. Three triplets in California decided to do something to ensure that the homeless don’t run out of supplies, exposing them to the virus.

The triplets, Jared, Jacob, and Josiah Joseph, are 14 years old. However, despite their young age, they have made an impact on the community in Cerritos.

They create safety kits for the homeless, making sure that they, too, stay protected from the pandemic. They make the safety kits from home, each package containing face masks, and gloves. They also include sanitizer wipes and water in the bags.

What better way to spend their time at home than being in the frontline fighting the pandemic?

The triplets have an interesting story behind their great cause. They actualized their dream by taking a small loan, worth $120. The money went into creating the kits as well as dispersing them to the beneficiaries. Different people draw inspiration from different things.

For these triplets, it was the loss of a local firefighter, who succumbed to the virus. That was the awakening call that made them realize they could actively help save other lives, and they haven’t looked back ever since.

Various people have commended Joseph triplets for their selflessness. As reported by the Press Telegram, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said in a Facebook post: “Thank you to the Joseph triplets for going above and beyond to help others. You are an inspiration to us all.” It is essential to look out for the vulnerable and less fortunate people, such as homeless families around you during these unprecedented times.

Like Joseph triplets, you too can take part in controlling the spread of the virus, by helping those in need. You can also mobilize family and friends, and combine forces to have an impact on the community.
