Trained Owl Acts As Ringbearer And Flies Down The Aisle To Deliver Wedding Rings

Owls are easily recognizable for their broad heads, upright stances, binocular vision, sharp talons, binaural hearing and feathers that make it possible for them to fly silently at night.

They are from the order Strigiformes that comprises a group of birds that are solitary and nocturnal. There are exceptions to this rule, and they include the northern hawk-owl that is awake during the day and the burrowing owl that is known to be sociable.

The owl usually hunts smaller birds as well as insects and small mammals, but some owls like to hunt fish. The only places where you will not find owls is in Antarctica and islands that are very far away. Owls belong to one of two families. One is the Strigidae family, and they are known as "typical" owls, and the other is the Tytonidae family, and they are known as the "barn" owls. It surprises some people that owls can put on a spectacle when they are employed at a wedding. A wedding is exactly the place where a bird with a courtly appearance and splendid wings belongs.

In Sunderland, England, Shaun Palmer chose the unique ringbearer for his wedding to Adele. The wedding was anything but traditional, but other couples are taking Shaun's lead and using owls in their weddings. Several companies are now training barn owls to perform this very special service today.

If you are a Harry Potter fan, you would really enjoy this trick if you were to witness it at a wedding. Having a real owl bring your wedding rings to you would be something that would make any Harry Potter fan's dreams come true!

At a graduation, an owl was sent to deliver a diploma to a student. The student was so happy that she started to cry because she was so excited! It was an extraordinary moment that cannot easily be replicated.
