Town In Italy Offers To Help Finance Families Who Move There

Now's the time to move the whole family to Teora, Italy. A new repopulation strategy encourages families to move for Teora for a minimum of three years. If conditions are met, the town itself will help finance rent or the purchase of a new home.

If you want to settle down in Teora on a permanent basis, you can take advantage of the €5,000 that city officials are offering to go towards the purchase of a new home. The mayor of Teora, Stefano Farina told CNN:

"I don't believe in selling empty houses for €1, that doesn't incentivize people to stay in town; they just come a few months a year as holidaymakers. That's not the solution. But taking up residency and enrolling kids at the local school, that does breathe new life."

The beautiful town is nestled into the classic countryside region of Italy, allowing you to escape the lights and the noise of city life. Its central location in the Avellino province puts you at the doorstep of a variety of historic landmarks, entertainment options, and mouth-watering dining opportunities. In order to qualify for the financial incentives, you will have to commit to living in Teora for at least three years. You also need to have at least one child since the town is looking to attract families that want to put down their roots in Teora.
