Tom Jones is now 79-years-old having been born on June 7, 1940, in Treforest, Pontypridd, Glamorgan, Wales. He is actually Sir Thomas John Woodward, having been awarded an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 1999, and being knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2006 at Buckingham Palace for his services to music.

Tom Jones attended the Queen's Birthday Party in 2018, has gotten many music awards, has had many appearances in Las Vegas and all over the globe, and has even been an actor in television films.

He has sold more than 100 million records and has had thirty-six Top 40 hits in the United Kingdom and 19 in the United States since becoming active in music in 1963.

He has managed to continue to be a living legend as his genres have ranged from pop, rhythm and blues, gospel, soul, show tunes, and country. His husky voice with its full-throated and robust baritone still makes the ladies swoon, and he has been a popular staple in the music industry steadily since having many top 10 hits in the mid-1960s.

Tom's wandering eye had him admitting that he was sleeping with as many as 250 women while on tour and had infidelities that made it into the news, and yet he stayed married to “the love of his life,” Linda, Lady Woodward, for more than 50 years.

Linda died of cancer on April 10, 2016, when Tom dropped the Asian part of his 2016 world tour to be by her side.

Last year, he treated the audience of The Voice UK to a sultry rendition of “You Can Leave Your Hat On”. That sexy blues song goes back to his 1972 album “Sail Away, and the tune has been used in strip scenes of a number of popular movies including The Full Monty, which was about an unemployed group who decided to striptease for money.
