The 62-year-old actor treated patients at Evelina London Children’s Hospital to a very special surprise viewing of his new film before it’s official release on June 21, 2019.

Hanks surprised the children and their families by arriving in-person at the hospital before the movie began to run at the MediCinema on site.

The MediCinema charity has six in-hospital locations throughout the UK. Disney frequently uses these theaters to create once in a lifetime experiences for sick children and their families, hoping that the inspiration and wonder characteristic of their stories will help the patients through difficult times.

Tom took his time while visiting with the patients at the hospital, posing for photos with them and even giving them signed gifts before the special screening began.
