It would appear that Tom Hanks truly is the nicest guy in Hollywood. The beloved actor and producer is known around the world for his random acts of kindness. In a time in which many celebrities have been exposed for being stuck-up, Hanks is a breath of fresh air.

Twitter and other forms of social media have been deluged with people sharing their stories of how Hanks has proven to be the best guy around.

He helped a bride and her dad

On such example was years ago, Hanks was busy filming for the movie "Angels and Demons" in Rome when he noticed that a bride-to-be was being blocked by his film crew. The bride was dressed in her wedding dress and veil and could not access the church because the shooting was in progress. When Hanks took note of the distressed bride, he asked the film's director, Ron Howard, to stop the shopping so that the entire wedding party could get to the church.

Because he felt bad about the disturbance, Hanks took the bride's hand and escorted her personally to the church along with her dad. He even helped to lift the veil so it did not drag along the ground and get dirty.

He helped sell girl scout cookies

In another sweet moment, he was in Los Altos, California when he encountered a group of girl scouts selling cookies. He not only bought some boxes and donated more money to the troop, but helped them sell cookies to passersby in exchange for photos with the star, reports The Lost Altos Town Crier. People recounted that he was personable and affable during the whole encounter.

He found a lost ID

The actor found a Fordham student's ID in Central Park one day and posted a photo of it on Twitter with the hopes that it would somehow get back to her. ABC reports that it finally did and he wrote the student, Lauren, a hand-written note that jokingly said, "Hold onto this!".

He crashed a wedding photoshoot

Inside Edition reports that Hanx (as he signs off on his social media) also crashed the wedding photoshoot of a couple named Elisabeth and Ryan in the park. He took a few photos with the two and cheerfully chatted away while congratulating them on their nuptials.

These are just some of the many touching stories that exemplify the kind heart of Hanks. You should spread the message around to others about his kind heart.
