Hanks became an honorary Greek citizen back in December of 2019 and both stars wore a mask as they landed in the country. Hanks donned a white polo with black shorts, sunglasses, and sandals as he walked with his luggage. Wilson, 63, wore a black shirt, classic blue jeans, and her own sunglasses.
On Thursday, Hanks celebrated his birthday by sharing a video on Instagram of him diving into a pool with a huge splash. The caption of the video referred to Hanks' new World War II movie, Greyhound, which debuted Friday on Apple TV+:
"This Greyhound is 64!! Hanx."

Rita Wilson also took to Instagram to commemorate her husband's birthday with a post captioned:
"Happy Birthday, @tomhanks We love you so much. You are our anchor. Every day with you is a blessing."
The singer and actress also included a Beatles' quote from the song "When I'm Sixty-Four:"
"Give me your answer, fill in a form Mine for evermore, Will you still need me, will you still feed me, When I'm sixty-four."
Hanks responded to the caption with an enthusiastic reply, "YES!"
Both Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson tested positive for the coronavirus back in March, and since then the couple has been reminding fans to do their best to slow the spread of the virus. They battled the virus in Australia and traveled back to Los Angeles to complete their recovery in self-isolation.
On Tuesday, Hanks told Hoda Kotb on Today:
"What has lingered here is this societal question of doing our part. "The idea of doing one's part though should be so simple. Wear a mask, social distance, wash your hands."
Hanks also expressed how it's a "mystery" to him that "such a small thing" like being a help to others "has been wiped out of what should be ingrained in the behavior of us all."
In terms of taking precautions against the virus, Hanks said, "I think a huge majority of Americans get it." However, he continued to express how not everything is so simple by saying, "there is a darkness on the edge of town here, folks."
Hanks went on about the seriousness of the pandemic:
"Let's not confuse the fact, it's killing people. You can say, ‘Well, traffic accidents kill a lot of people too.’ But traffic accidents happen because a lot of drivers aren’t doing their part. I don't know how common sense has somehow been put in question in regards to this."
Hanks continued to encourage a message of solidarity by saying:
"We are all in this together, there are things that we can do in order to help our street, our neighborhood, our town, our city, our state, our nation, and our world."
