Toddler Feels Summer Rain For The First Time And Reacts Adorably

Every parent hopes that one day their children will grow up to help make the world a better place no matter what. Whether it’s starting their own charitable organization or simply just being kind and respectful to others, all parents hope that their grown kids will do what they can to help others. This mindset can then hopefully be passed down to the next generation.

The process of being a parent can be rewarding in itself; there are naturally major challenges that can make some days more difficult than ever imagined, but the beautiful moments shared with kids can make them twice as sweet. One of the most incredible things to watch your child go through as a parent is their very first experiences of the most wonderful aspects of life. 

From eating the very first strawberry to experiencing fireworks for the first time, children can become awed by the smallest of things. When one doting dad took his toddler Harper out onto their driveway in the rain, letting her experience it for the first time, it was heartwarming to watch. The video, first uploaded in 2015, has made viewers all over the world smile along with father and son. 

Children can teach us a lot of things, but the most important lesson that we learn is to find the magic in the ordinary. Every small thing can be a miracle in the eyes of a child, and this incredibly moving video shows how wonderous a baby watching the rain for the first time can be. 

Most people do not remember their first steps or the first time that they tried an ice cream cone. However, it is all those little moments that can make the biggest impact in your life when taken as a whole. This is why parents revel in the chance to watch their children experience these moments as they watch the joy through their eyes. Watching children enjoy connecting with nature is a true privilege.

In this particular video, a father was introducing his son to the beauty of rain. As the rain began to pick up, sweet toddler Harper was clearly delighted with the downpour. The original video was uploaded onto Youtube by the Swift family account. In the description section of the video, the Swift family wrote: 

"Although she's seen it from the window before now, this is the first time she played in the warm Summer rain... and her reaction was absolutely precious!"

Most certainly, her reaction to the rain was absolutely adorable, and viewers will surely be compelled to smile and laugh along with Harper's delighted sounds! Her dad then pulled the ultimate surprise when he took the toddler outside to feel the rain for herself.

There is nothing better than warm summer rain on your skin, and it is clear in the video that Harper was a fan of the pitter-patter raindrops that are falling down. This adorable video clip proved that kids don't necessarily need expensive trips and experiences to appreciate life and that the small things are the most important of all.

This was not the first time that the Swift family had gone viral for their video. Another video of Harper had become very popular in 2014 when she crawled toward the family dog. Titled "Baby's first crawl with her dog... what a cute ending!" the video has over 28 million views at the time of writing this article. This is an incredible feat indeed! 

In the video of Harper enjoying the rain, the Swift family referenced the first video that made Harper famous by writing in the description:

"Imagine our disbelief this time, when already last year such a special (and viral!) moment was captured of our little one first crawling in "Baby's first crawl with her dog... what a cute ending!" – that now a new unforgettable moment was filmed of our little Harper experiencing another lifetime 'first' and this time it's seeing and feeling rain for the very first time." 

The description gave more information about Harper's love for the rain as well. "She simply couldn't get enough, from the car ride home and watching it pour all over the car windows, to getting out and wanting nothing more then to run around, play, and exalt over the fabulous new experience with her Daddy. She and the family she makes us are truly our dream come true." 

Commenters joined the Swift family in delighting with Harper and added to the love that Harper's father showed her. User mmedeuxchevaux wrote, "Imagine if we all had fathers like this – how much better the world would be." 

Others reminisced about their own childhoods and commended the parents for giving Harper a beautiful childhood as well.
