A best friend is someone we can always count on to bare our souls to. They're there every time we need them. Whenever life gets rough, they're there to hold us when we need it. They know us from the inside out and often know us better than we even know ourselves. On our best days and our worst days, our best friends are there for us to support us always. They're never going to let us break because they love us too much to let us fall apart.

This type of best friend is a safety net and someone we can always rely on. They're the one constant throughout our whole lives that we know we can count on. Our best friends have loved us unconditionally from the beginning and until the end of time. Our best friends are arguably one of the greatest things in our lives.

For my best friend and the person that has been there for me always:

I adore you. Whenever I begin to fall apart, you're there. You know all the best things and worst things about me and are always sure of my intentions, even when I'm not. I never worry about your loyalty, because I know you'll always support me.

Whatever happens--you're always there. When a new guy is in my life, you know my feelings before I do, especially if he's not good enough for me. Despite whatever way I see myself, you always hold me to your high standard, knowing I deserve the best. The way that you believe in me shows me I can be the best version of myself.

In every relationship I've been in, you've been there to give me the right advice. Whether I was the heartbreaker or I had my heart broken, you always knew what to say. Even in my most reckless moments when I wanted to act out of hurt and anger, you calmed me down and told me what to do instead. Whenever any guy hurt my feelings, you were there to show me how much I deserve and how I shouldn't settle for less.

There has never been a moment where you have failed me. You always lead by example, showing me the type of woman I hope to one day become. You show me how to do better for myself by picking and choosing who I surround myself with. You make me want to challenge myself and my lovers to meet better standards. Whenever I get insecure or unhappy with myself, you're the voice that is constantly encouraging me. You tell me I'm perfect the way I am and don't need a guy to make me believe that.

Doing life alone is scary, but with you, the world is a lot brighter. Knowing I'm never truly alone is what helps to keep me going. The truest friendships are hard to find, but once they're here, they're forever. If I'm Rachel, you're Monica. If I'm Serena, you're Blair. Just like the best TV friendships, you're my soul sister and always will be.
