Tiny Bulldog Becomes Adorably Annoyed At Her Daddy

Whether it’s a seed that grows into a massive tree or a mighty river traced back to a small stream, every glorious thing begins small. Being little in a big world where no one takes you seriously is tough, though.

A young pup, named Greta, is just a tiny little thing, but she’s already got a fierce attitude that demands attention. As her dad teases her a bit, she fearlessly let’s him know she’s not having any of it. She’s little more than a handful of puppy, but it’s so cute to watch her think she’s ten-feet-tall.

Meet Greta

Greta has become a viral sensation with over 6.3 million views of her little hissy fit and sweet father-daughter moment ending.

The video begins as Greta, a young bulldog pup is prancing around amongst a few of her toys on the floor. Her human dad calls to her. As she approaches, he starts teasing her with noises and doggie-like sounds. It sets the pup off on a tantrum. She’s having none of it, and she lets dad know it with snarls, barks, growls, lunges, and her best effort at "big dog" posturing. It’s adorable. Sorry Greta, it’s ferocious.

Greta gets her fierce little attitude from her breed. Did you know that bulldogs descend from the fighting mastiffs the Romans brought to the British Isles for bull baiting? This was a horrifically bloody sport where the dog was to bite a bull’s nose and attempt to hold on as the bull did his best to get free. To survive, the dogs had to be resilient. No wonder the Marines, Yale, and the University of Georgia use the bulldog’s image to represent themselves.

Tenacity and courage have actually become quite synonymous with bulldogs. Their thick and stout bodies paired with very serious, deadpan, and no-nonsense facial features have made them a universal symbol of toughness.

While the menacing appearance has been adopted by everything from sports teams and ad campaigns to popular cartoons like Tom and Jerry, this breed isn’t the menacing savage it’s portrayed to be in popular culture.

The American Kennel Club describes the bulldog breed as calm, courageous, and friendly. In truth, they’re a pet-friendly breed that’s very affectionate, loyal, and sensitive.

Greta’s cute video demonstrates a little of all the bulldog’s best traits, too. Watch her in action as she gets upset over dad’s noises. Like any good dad, when Greta gets a little too adamant in her protests and bumps her little head on a piece of furniture, he picks her up for a calming cuddle on the couch.

Wasn’t that video just too cute? Do you have a bulldog pup with an attitude? Tell us your thoughts and stories in the comment section, and don’t forget to pass Greta along to friends and family for a quick smile.
