Tim Conway, the 84-year-old star of the 'Carol Burnett Show,' is losing a battle with dementia. His daughter has asked to take charge of his medical treatments.

Documents obtained through People magazine state that Kelly made the filing in Los Angeles court. The 56-year-old woman claims that Charlene Fusco, Conway's wife, has plans to remove him from the nursing facility that he currently resides in. She also states that Fusco intends to move him to a facility which does not allow access to 24-hour caregiving, registered nurses, and the speech therapist who helps with swallowing.

In the papers, Kelly also said that her father does not have the ability to take care of his own physical health, clothing, and food. She says he is nearly completely unresponsive. Her goal is to be given guardianship, so that she can administer the medications to her father by herself.

Tim Conway is well known for his work in "The Carol Burnett Show" and "McHale's Navy," as well as the character Dorf. But before Conway had his Hollywood big break, he said he had absolutely no experience with the film industry.

He stated that he was given no professional training. All he did was bring his sense of humor to the microphone.

Tim was a special guest star on "30 Rock" during the show's second season. His performance was impressive enough to win him an Emmy. He's also the recipient of a Golden Globe Award thanks to his work as a supporting actor in "The Carol Burnett Show."

There are a number of other shows that Tim has made guest appearances on, including "Mike & Molly," "Two and a Half Men," "Glee," "Mad About You," and "Married... With Children."

The actor has a powerful and successful legacy to leave behind.

Tim's marriage to Charlene occurred in 1984. Prior to that, he married Mary Anne Dalton in 1961, but the couple divorced in 1978. He and Mary Anne Dalton had six children together prior to their divorce.

It's devastating to hear what poor health Tim Conway is in. Do you think his daughter did the right thing by petitioning the court for his treatment?
