Thankfully, one woman was on hand to witness the remarkable moment. Michelle Cossar is a resident of the town.

When she looked up, she noticed the roofers standing together and listening to the national anthem. She immediately took a photo and posted it online.

Beneath the image, she wrote a caption about the three gentlemen. While she did not know who they were, Michelle was glad to see that they were respecting the flag.

She believes that all Americans should stop what they are doing when the national anthem is played.

After the photo was shared online, it quickly went viral. People from across the country were proud that these three men showed their respect for the flag.

While the three roofers are employed by a company in Oakland, they were working on an independent project when the photo was taken. One of the men, Dwayne Harrison, said that they were just doing the right thing. He had no clue that their moment of patriotic respect would go viral. Harrison later stated that he hopes that this image inspires the younger generation to have the same patriotism and respect for the flag.
