Buying a wreath from a retail store can add extra money to your holiday budget that you might not have to spend. A woman from AJ's Craft Room offers suggestions about how to create your own wreath using items that you probably already have at home.

Even if you don't have the supplies that you need, you can get them for a few dollars at most retail stores.

You'll need about 50 bulbs to make the wreath. You can add more if you want to make one that is larger. Other items needed to make the wreath are ribbon and a wire coat hanger. Plastic ornaments are the best ones to use or those that won't break.

Bend the hanger so that it looks like a circle. Unhook the metal of the wire to pass the ornaments along the circle to make the wreath. Try to mix up the sizes of the bulbs so that the entire wire is covered. Different sizes will also ensure that the wreath is as full as possible.

When you've threaded all of the ornaments, hook the wire together again. Attach a ribbon to complete your festive decoration.
