It's not every day that someone earns hundreds of thousands of dollars from something she bought at a flea market. A woman in London did, and it was a miracle. Here's the story:

Some people only dream of finding a hidden treasure at a flea market, but it actually happened to a woman in London. She had no idea that she had been wearing a small fortune, or rather, a large fortune on her finger for the past last few decades.

The ring had caught her eye one afternoon it the 80s when she was walking through the flea market. She saw an attractive cocktail ring and thought to herself that she could spruce up her image a bit if she bought it. She spent approximately $13 on the ring and was quite content with it for over 30 years. One day, she was admiring her ring, and she just got a feeling that there was something special about it, that it may be worth more than she paid for it. She went to Google for guidance and started performing searches for impressive diamonds. After performing those searches, she got a hunch to take the ring to a local jeweler and have it appraised. She knew the ring was unique, but she had no idea that she was going to hear something that blew her away.

It wasn't just a beautiful ring. It wasn't just an impressive ring. It was an authentic diamond ring. Now, it if it had been just a single carat, that would have been amazing enough. But this ring was 26 carats, something that she had never seen before seen. Many people don't see it in their entire lifetime. So the ring that she spent $13 for all those years ago was obviously worth a lot more than that. That astounding piece of jewelry met with a Mr. Wyndham from The Gemological Institute of America, who claimed that it is most likely something from the 19th century.

The ring eventually was auctioned off. The initial price was supposed to be $450,000, which is a whopping amount. However, it went for much more than that.

The person who purchased the ring paid $840,000 for it in 2017 in June.

People just never know what they're going to come across at the flea market. It's a place where diligent shoppers can find hidden treasures, little pieces of History and astounding jewelry that they just don't see every day.
