This Viral Video Shows A Cat Knocking On A Door Like A Human

Sheekilah Jones wakes up every morning to catch a bus to work. The neighborhood is normally quiet because she is one of the only people awake this early in the morning. Last week, she heard a peculiar sound reverberate throughout the empty streets. After listening carefully for a few minutes, Jones couldn't determine the source of the noise.

In an interview with The Dodo, Jones mentioned that there was nobody to be seen despite the distinct sound of knocking. She scanned her surroundings to determine the origin of the creepy noise. All of a sudden, her eyes landed on the most surprising source. She saw a black cat sitting on top of a handrail near an apartment door. This cat was only a few yards away from Jones. Although she was surprised at first, she quickly realized why the cat was making a knocking noise.

Jones continued to watch in amazement as the cat reached up and pawed at the door's metal knocker. Somehow, the cat understood exactly what this gesture meant. If a human wanted to enter the home, he or she would also use the knocker to communicate with the owner of the apartment. This spectacular cat understood this gesture and was trying hard to get the attention of his owner inside the apartment.

Unfortunately, it appeared as though the cat couldn't knock loud enough for people inside to hear. However, this smart cat certainly caught the attention of Jones.

She said, "I couldn't believe what was happening."

This is something that happens in cartoons. In order to prove this amazing event to her friends, Jones captured a video of the incident. After all, not many people would believe this without seeing video proof.

Instead of pawing against the door like a normal pet, this intelligent cat found a way to make a louder noise. Unfortunately, Jones had to leave for work before the cat was allowed inside. Jones thought about knocking on the door harder to alert the cat's owner. Once her bus arrived, however, Jones had to head to work. Jones was still in shock about what she had just seen. She posted the video online after work to share this amazing scene with others.
