The first step in this health plan is to drink one glass of warm water as soon as you wake up. Before you eat breakfast drink the water to get the toxins our of your body. When you make a habit of this, you'll find that you look more refreshed and rested in the mornings. The warm temperature of the water improves digestion; you can also use room temperature water. You can also add warm water to grapefruit or lemon juice to get a boost of vitamin C in the mornings and help your body detoxify.

After drinking the water, take a Scottish shower (alternate the temperature of the water while showering). Exfoliate with brushes or cleansers while you're in the shower, and coat your skin with moisture from essential oils and natural moisturizers after getting out of the shower. Don't scrub too hard, but be sure to get all areas of your body and clean thoroughly.

Use natural products to cleanse your skin. The health and beauty items you get from the store are usually filled with harsh chemicals that could negatively affect your health. A body scrub with citrus juices and oils and/or a cucumber facial are great ways to revitalize your skin using safe ingredients. You can also use natural moisturizers like coconut oil and olive oil on your entire body and in your hair.

Be sure to work out for at least 20 minutes daily. Yoga and stretching are great ways to enhance circulation and improve the movement of your limbs. Try to get as much fresh air as possible; the energy and vitamin D that comes from the sun is essential for good health as well. Even when you return inside, you can do breathing exercises when you start to feel stressed and need to keep your anxiety levels down.

Eat fiber-rich foods. This cuts down on bloating and gives you a feeling of fullness for a longer period of time. Choose green vegetables that you enjoy; these have a relaxing effect on the body and are easy to digest.

After detoxing for these five days, you may have picked up some healthy habits that you can continue after your detox. You'll likely learn some ways to keep looking and feeling your best in the coming months as well.
