This Pregnant Chihuahua Had A Giant Belly - But It Wasn't Until After The 10th Puppy That Her Foster Mom Realized What Was Really Going On

An organization called Unleashed Pet Rescue and Adoption recently found itself in quite the peculiar situation. Caught up in a strange scenario, the organization ended up having to save numerous neglected chihuahuas as the result of an outreach call from Mission, Kansas. The sticky situation is Mission occurred surrounding a pregnant dog named Laugh Out Loud, and she was due any minute.

This dog, getting ready to have her puppies, was taken out of a potentially life-threatening situation just before it was too late. A foster manager named Jessica Bennett hurried to find Laugh Out Loud, abbreviated LOL, a foster home where she could be safe. Josie Boyd Brown, along with her family, flew to the rescue of this dog that was in danger.

Once Laugh Out Loud was in a safe environment for labor, the process began almost immediately. Luckily, she was surrounded by support and safety - also, it was National Puppy Day! But after a few of LOL’s babies came out, Josie took notice of the fact that the chihuahua’s stomach was not decreasing in size. This was strange, as the average puppy litter happens to be five.

Laugh Out Loud continued to have babies until a shocking reality set in. Josie counted the number of puppies that had been delivered. Her numbers added up to eight males and three females. This made little sense, as the supposed number of puppies LOL had delivered was ten. She then found out, in awe, what had just happened.

Josie now knew what had just happened. Laugh Out Loud had delivered the largest litter of chihuahuas of all time, and this is now recorded in the Guinness book of world records. The 12-hours-long and potentially fatal labor process paid off!
