This Nostalgic Performance Of “Angels Among Us” By Alabama Is Tear Inducing

It's one of those songs that will last forever in our hearts as one of the best songs ever written and performed. Alabama was spitting out chart-topping hits in the 1980's and 1990's. "Angels Among Us," released in 1993, was one of their biggest hits.

Alabama, who's roots are in gospel music, put on a live performance recently highlighting their genre of gospel music like "The Old Rugged Cross", "What a Friend We Have in Jesus", "I'll Fly Away", "Because He Lives", and "I Saw the Light". They capped off their performance with a heartfelt rendition of "Angels Among Us."

This time, the lyrics of the song seemed to take on a whole new meaning. They slowed the tempo down a bit and really let the words harmonically capture the beauty of the song. There couldn't have been a dry eye in the room. Watch this video and see the magic that happens when God-given talent meets man's inspiration from worship.

While this Alabama hit topped the charts in 1994 at number 28, it was actually on the charts again in 1994, peaking at number 51. This world-famous song was originally touted as a Christmas single on their album, Cheap Seats. Alabama's lead singer, Randy Owen, said that the band received "hundreds of letters from all over the world saying that the song was a blessing."
