This Mother Snuck Off To Somewhere Every Christmas Eve For Years - After Her Death Son Receives Letter Explaining Why

For most children, they believe that they will receive gifts on Christmas morning. There is a joy that they have when they realize that the day will arrive soon.

They begin putting a list together while trying to find out what Santa will bring them. One little boy's mother always left on Christmas Eve. When she passed away, he finally found out why.

John Dorroh knew that his mother would sneak out of their home each Christmas Eve when he was younger, and he would always wonder where she would go for a few hours. She told her son that she needed to take care of a few things and that she would be back soon. She would always drive her car instead of walking to wherever she went.

John was sometimes hurt when his mother would leave because she was the mother who finished shopping for Christmas before Thanksgiving and always wanted to make sure her child was taken care of and kept safe instead of leaving him home alone.

John didn't know what she could be doing on Christmas Eve but didn't argue with her when she left.

When his mother came back home each morning, John didn't bother to ask any questions because she would never give him an answer. John thought that she might be getting an extra gift or picking up something that Santa didn't leave. She continued this ritual for a few years until she died.

After his mother died, John found out where she was going. There was a family who needed help more than them, and his mother did everything she could to make sure they had a good Christmas.

Robert sent John a message shortly after his mother died in 1990. John didn't know this man and was shocked when he told John about where his mother had been going. John's mother would dress up as Mrs. Claus and visit Robert's house every Christmas Eve.

She took his children toys, candy, clothes, and shoes so that they would be excited on Christmas morning. Robert expressed his sympathy to John because they would miss her as well.
