A suspicious lunch lady couldn’t figure out why that kid was in a tuxedo until he tapped her on the shoulder.

The students at Bishop Manogue High School got a chance to be kind to one of the unsung heroes in their world. So one day, a young man in a tuxedo walked up to Lynn Marner at the Reno, Nevada school and surprised her.

They teamed up with the Dud, be nice Project and pretended they were making a documentary on the school. The kids got together with Brent, who is the CEO of the DUDEbenice foundation, and set up an interview with Lynn Marner, who dished up care and friendship along with the student’s meals every day.

During the interview, Lynn talked about her job in the lunchroom, enjoying the students she saw every day and gave some insight into her personal life. One of the things Lynn spoke about during her interview was her love for her mom and Memphis barbecue.

Lynn thought her day at work was going to be a typical day at work. But she was in for a surprise.

Lynn ended up being escorted away from her lunchroom duties by the young man in the tuxedo to a special table. Once she arrived at the table, she was given roses and hugs and thanked for her excellent work and for caring about the students at her school. Along with roses, Lynn was given a unique treat when she was provided with her favorite meal of Memphis barbecue.

The students served the meal on a silver platter. Lynn had mentioned how much she missed her mother. So the next part of the surprise amazed both Lynn and everyone watching the scene since it happened. Plus, the students at Bishop Manogue got the chance to show their appreciation for Lynn’s caring for them each day.
