This Little Girl Skipped The Entire Crawling Stage And Started Walking At Six Months

A sixth-month-old girl in the United Kingdom shocked both her parents one day when she suddenly took to her feet and began to walk. Grace, and her husband Ryan, could only watch with open-mouthed amazement as their daughter Freya took her first steps. The interesting thing is the baby had never even attempted to crawl before.

Grace has her hands full now as she must assure the easily excited Freya doesn't hurt herself running. On average, children began walking at about the age of one. Freya is well ahead of schedule and may be one of the youngest people to ever accomplish unassisted walking.

Grace explains that her daughter was able to stand at the age of four months while holding two fingers of her mother's hand. It was obvious the baby girl was desperate to walk at that time but it took her another two months to accomplish the feat.

Grace says she will never forget the look on her daughter's face when the first steps were taken. The mother describes her daughter's smile as a beam from ear to ear. Grace says she thought the first step or two was a fluke but soon knew something bigger was happening when her baby girl continued walking.

Grace says Freya has always been active. Her daughter first sat upright by herself at four and a half months and at 10 weeks was able to roll from the cot where she rested into her parents' bed.

Grace and Ryan say they were unaware that the behavior from their daughter was advanced because it is their first child. They began to understand their daughter was ahead of schedule only after speaking with friends and family on the matter.

Grace says Freya has amazed many people when she puts on her big smile and tries to run in their direction. She says her family and friends now speculate often about what great feat Freya will accomplish next.

Grace admits she has no idea what Freya might do next. The mother of one does know, however, that her first child is sure to keep her busy for years to come.
