This Insurance Scam Backfired Hilariously On These Two Motorcyclists When A Driver Outsmarted Them

We live in an age of documentation, and cell phone cameras have definitely changed how information spreads. From Facebook Live to tagged videos, the world can now be privy to what was once lost information and moments in time. Now, our reputation can be made or ruined in the matter of minutes.

While being able to capture footage on cell phones can prove to be quite advantageous when trying to defend ourselves or document others' bad behaviors, perhaps more of us should consider also having dash cams in our cars to better help capture entire events, especially such events that arise suddenly and unexpectedly.

Most often dash cams capture the everyday, like fender benders or pedestrians stepping in front of traffic. What they usually do not film is the insane insurance scheme orchestrated by these two less-than-honest chaps.

Fortunately, this woman had such a device in use at the time she needed it most. While about her business, never expecting what would happen next, she sees a man easing his scooter into traffic. No big deal. That is, until he rams his scooter back into the front of her car before aggressively flinging himself onto her hood. Yes, he flung his own body onto her hood, all in the hopes of making it appear as if she had rear-ended him.

Of course, having thought this through, our devilish scammer has an accomplice to quickly rush on scene to film the aftermath of the accident. Undoubtedly dismayed and upset, the driver of the assaulted car gets out to confront these two con-artists who brazenly inform her that their cell phone camera is recording the event, all in an attempt to both bully and intimidate their chosen victim.

However, roles are quickly reversed when she points to her dash camera, sending both young criminals, who had been looking to make a quick buck off insurance, fleeing. While phoning the police to notify authority of the bizarre insurance scam she had just unwittingly been a part of, she quite aptly describes these two as "these idiots".

What started as a surefire way to capture the right, out-of-context, set-up to frame our driver quickly turned into a hard-lesson for these two who probably never considered their victim might just be prepared with a dash cam installed, turned on, and actively filming.

Are you going to invest in a dashcam after seeing this? Send this to someone who needs a laugh!
