Sometimes talent is found in the most unlikely of sources. Case in point: Celine Tam, the five-year-old hailing from Hong Kong, who took the world by storm with her awe-inspiring performance of Josh Groban's hit song "You Raise Me Up."

Nobody expected that Celine, who appeared on the stage in the usual pink princess dress and glittery face makeup you would expect from any young girl, would sing as beautifully as she did. However, when she opened her mouth, it soon became clear that her singing could put many professional adult singers to shame.

As it turns out, Celine is a trained singer. Beginning at the age of three, her vocal talents have led to her winning virtually every singing competition she ever entered, which include "China's Got Talent" and "Hong Kong Expo Singing Competition."

Aside from these, Celine has also made appearances on Broadway in New York and has performed with the Hong Kong Orchestra. In 2017, she entered America's Got Talent in its twelfth season at the age of 9.

"You Raise Me Up," which originated with the Irish duo Secret Garden, was popularized by singer Josh Groban. Since his 2003 rendition it took off like a wildfire. Not only did the song become an overwhelming hit in the United States, it has also found success in other countries including Austria, Denmark, France, and Switzerland.

The song has since found new life with Celine Tam. Following her performance, she has become a darling among the masses, and has developed quite a substantial following. In fact, the video of her performance has garnered a whopping 24 million views.
