This Homeless Man Found A Paper Bag Stuffed With $17 000 - So He Donated It To His Local Food Bank

If you were to find a bag on a sidewalk with a large amount of money inside and knew that the money could change your life, would you give it to the proper authorities?

A homeless man recently made a decision that some people might not make if they were in his position.

Kevin Booth has been homeless for quite some time and living on the streets in Sumner, Washington. For at least five years, Kevin has gone to a local food bank to get help with fresh foods and items that can be consumed without cooking them. The food bank doesn't turn away those who need help, providing toiletries and pet food along with the food given to people.

The bank often leaves bread outside its doors for those who want to get something to eat at night or early in the morning. Kevin stopped by the food bank to try to get some before it was all taken. While Kevin was outside the food bank, he noticed a paper bag on the sidewalk. He picked it up and found a large surprise inside.

Kevin could have kept the $17,000 that was in the bag, but he did something that helped many more people just like himself. When the first worker at the bank arrived for the day, Kevin gave her the bag that he found. The workers at the bank contacted the police department to try to find out who had lost the money.

What did you think of Kevins actions? Would you have done the same? Has anything similar ever happened to you?

Feel free to pass this along to your friends and family, you might just inspire them to do some good this holiday season too!
