This Dog's Best Friends Is A Turkey, And They Can't Stand To Be Separated

You've heard the saying, "dog is man's best friend," but who is dog's best friend?

In a strange turn of events, one dog found friendship in the unlikeliest of places. When a woman met a five-week-old turkey, named Blossom, at the animal shelter she worked for, she tried to make the little baby feel right at home in her office. When it became apparent that the turkey was far too scared and vulnerable, she made the bold decision to take her home…and that's when her dog Minnow met her new best friend.

At first, Minnow wasn't sure how to feel about this not-quite-canine. But being an excellent and nurturing pup, she welcomed her new feathered friend into her home. Before long, they became the best of friends.

They shared a dog bed, watched wildlife outside together, and even spent their days playing with Minnow's favorite stuffed friends. In next to no time, Blossom broke out of her shell and was the happiest of birds.

After a while, Minnow's mom figured it was time for Blossom to rejoin a feathered flock and took Blossom to a nearby farm where she could be with her own kind. But as it turns out, her own kind wasn't what Blossom longed for.

The poor, tiny turkey fell into a deep depression that was so consuming, she refused to move for hours on end, day after day. When Minnow's mom received a call shortly after, she knew where Blossom really belonged.

The two were reunited, and it felt so good! It turns out that sometimes best friends can come together in the strangest of situations. Minnow missed Blossom just as much as Blossom missed her furry friend, and in the end, they ended up being two peas in a pod.
