This Cute Service Dog Picks Out His Own Birthday Present

Michael Cantu's life changed when he met Toli, an adorable service dog. Toli does things that were previously impossible for Michael.

The retriever picks things up off the floor, opens doors, turns on light switches and keeps Michael company. Toli gives Michael independence, and Michael was sure to thank the clever pup on his recent birthday. When Toli turned four, Michael took him to a local pet store to pick out a new toy.

He filmed how Toli carefully chooses a new toy. The retriever looks at the frisbees and tennis balls, but he ultimately chooses a stuffed rabbit toy. Michael Cantu wasn't surprised that Toli chose a plush toy. Toli loves to cuddle with stuffed animals, especially during his naps.

Toli takes his stuffed rabbit everywhere he goes. Cantu named the rabbit Chungus, after a bugs bunny character from a PlayStation 4 game. It's clear from Michael Cantu's Instagram that he doesn't let his medical condition hold him back. He's undergone countless surgical procedures, but he still finds time to enjoy life.

Michael regularly attends NBA games, meets adorable animals at the zoo and enjoys the great outdoors. He even has an autographed picture of President Obama. Toli is by Michael's side no matter where he goes, but it's not all about work for the service dog. Michael frequently shares pictures of Toli relaxing in the sun, wearing a stylish pair of sunglasses and taking in the sunset by the lake.

We're glad that Toli had a great birthday, and we hope Michael Cantu continues to make memories with his furry best friend. Have you ever seen such a friendship between dog and human? Let us know in the comments and be sure to pass this adorable video along to all animal lovers out there!
