Gather molding powder, water, and a container to put it all in. If you're making a mold with your partner, pick a container that's big enough for both of you to hold hands in. Get casting powder and water as well - that will come later.

Put equal parts molding powder and water together in the container. Mix carefully so it doesn't set right away.

Apply a thin layer to your hands before you put them in the container. This way you won't get stuck in the mold! Hold hands and dunk them into the mixture. The solution will be pink at first. Keep your hands in the liquid until it turns white. That's when you know the mold has set.

Once the mold has set, remove your hands carefully! This is to prevent the mold from breaking. Create a casting mixture and pour it into the mold. Once the casting has hardened, you're ready to remove the mold from its container. Give it a place of honor in your bedroom or on the mantle so you'll always remember your time together.
