Police are joining the world-wide lip-synching contest every day. Sherman PD did their rendition of an old-school hit just recently and made someone very happy.

The lip sync challenge has been going on across the nation with various police forces participating. The Sherman Police Department in Texas decided to get in on the action. They were hanging out at a donut shop discussing which song they were going to perform.

They wanted to do something spectacular and something that people were going to remember for years to come. So, they sat at the table and bounced some ideas around, but nobody was really able to fall on the right idea. It was not until moments later that the perfect song came to mind.

One of the officers noticed a beautiful blond woman at the counter getting ready to place her order. She was taking her sweet time because she was not quite sure which donut she wanted. The idea to sing the song popped into the office like a light bulb switching on. He then pointed at the woman, taps on his partner's shoulder, and said to him, "Look she's lost that loving feeling." His partner didn't know what to make of it at first. He then looked at the woman and replied, "No she hasn't."

The police officer answered, "Yes, she has" and started heading toward the woman to get her attention. The other officer begrudgingly followed behind him. What happened next was like a scene right out of the musical.

The officer tapped the young woman on the shoulder, and she was surprised to see a bunch of officers. She started smiling at all the attention she was getting. The officer struggled through the first two or three lines of the song before he received some backup help from his partner.

Eventually, the entire police force got involved with the performance. The whole donut shop and for about three minutes and smiled profusely. The woman had the biggest smile of them all.

It's good to see police officers have fun when they work so hard every day. We don't know if Sherman PD is going to win, but we do know that they had a lot of fun trying. Let your friends know about this performance after you watch the video. Remember, it's okay to have fun no matter what your profession is.
