  • 1 to 2 tablespoons of looseleaf green or black tea or a bag of the tea of your choice
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon turmeric

  • Lemon slices (optional)

Put the tea, cinnamon, turmeric and sweetener in the bottom of a French press if you're using loose tea. Add hot water to the halfway mark of the French press and allow the tea to steep for at least 3 minutes but up to 5 minutes. Stir the ingredients once and then press.

If you're using a tea bag, heat one cup of water, add the bag to the water and steep for 2-3 minutes before stirring in the remaining ingredients.
