This Baby Has the Sweetest Reaction To Finally Hearing His Mom's Voice For The First Time

A woman's maternal instincts are much more honed and capable than they could ever imagine. When a child is born, it seems like a mother knows exactly what to do without any formal training.

Children who are born with any sort of sensory damage have a more difficult time establishing a bond with their mothers. When these senses are repaired, it can be an overwhelming experience as new sensory information is being processed by the brain for the first time.

Archer is an infant who was brought into this world with significant hearing loss. At the tender age of three weeks, his parents noticed that Archer wasn't responding to their voices. He was brought to the doctor where his parents' fears were confirmed.

Archer did have a severe hearing impairment. Although Archer was fitted for hearing aids, the units took another two months to create.

When the hearing aids finally arrived, Archer's parents couldn't test them fast enough. After gently placing a hearing aid in each of his ears, Archer's mother started calling his name. This child began crying instantly. He was clearly overwhelmed by the new sensory information of which he wasn't aware previously. His parents filmed this remarkable moment.

In the video, Archer seems to be somewhere between excited and confused.

When Archer finally grew accustomed to his new sense, he was clearly full of happiness and excitement. He could finally hear the voices of his loving parents.

In the video, Archer can be seen giggling and smiling at his parents.

His mother coddled her baby and spoke to him in a soft voice: "I love you! Are you excited? Can hear everything?".

She wanted to slowly acclimate Archer to his newfound sense of hearing. This heartwarming story demonstrates how technology and medical science can improve the lives of people who are born with certain impairments.

Archer will now be able to experience his world in a more complete and meaningful manner. The relationship with his parents will also be enhanced.
