This Baby Girl Was Saved From A Scorching Vehicle After The Parents Had Passed Out Due To 'Heroin Overdose'

According to reports, a baby girl was seen unattended to in a hot car. The parents had passed out after overdosing on heroin. A construction worker by the name of Eric Asher saved the young baby alongside his fiancé. The incident took place in Canton, Ohio. After posting photos from the day of the incident to social media, individuals who saw the pictures have responded in outrage to what happened.

The 43-year-old construction worker remarked that he was in passing when he saw a woman and man lying on the ground beside the car passed out. In the car he noticed that there was a baby secured in her car seat. She was hot and sweating from the rising temperatures. Temperatures were reaching levels of 88F and 31C. According to reports the car door was open. This allowed Asher to safely save the baby girl and give her water while waiting on emergency authorities to arrive on the scene.

Asher told Inside Edition that he and his fiancé were driving by in their car when they noticed the dilemma of the parents on the ground and the child in the hot car. The skin color of the two parents appeared to have changed to a purplish color and the baby was alone inside the car with sweat dripping from her little face. Someone in passing called 911.

After the incident had passed, Asher shared that the mother of the child had called him to thank him for rescuing their baby girl from the car. The mother of the baby informed Asher that she and the father of the baby were heroin addicts. Though they had been clean for two years, they had suffered a relapse.

 

A relative of the family is currently looking after the young baby. Court records show that the parents of the child were charged for child endangerment. The couple has been released after paying $1,000 bonds. To raise awareness to the dangers of heroin, Asher shared photos of the incident on his Facebook profile account.
