Los Angeles artist, Jack Storms, is an amazing artist. He has a unique medium of glass. With a cold-glass process, he combines lead crystal and dichroic glass. There are very few people who work in the form of art. In fact, you couldn’t even count the amount of artists working in this art form on a single hand.

He doesn’t use any heat in his process. It is all made from a cold-glass process. Jack grinds everything down and then polishes. He says it is very difficult and takes much more time, which is why most people don’t use this process. They feel as though it is too time consuming for them to do.

Because of how long this process takes, each piece could take anywhere from 8 to 18 weeks to finish. This is an extremely long time for a single piece of artwork. It is very time consuming and difficult to do. Jack Storms makes the time to perfect each unique piece.

In order to create a piece, he took inspiration from his mind and his heart. But at the center of his designs, Jack Storms used the theory of Fibonacci to create his pieces. Fibonacci is a great mathematician that shows the math seen in nature. This natural beauty is not manufactured but created. Jack found inspiration in this form of natural beauty.

Examples of this are flowers or the scales of a pineapple. Fibonacci numbers can be found in patterns of growth from items in nature. Every living thing has a pattern of growth. Check out the video here:
