Small but mighty. That's what 7-year-old Dyxie Spring proved to the judges when she tagged along for her older sister's audition for the competition reality show, "American Idol."

When 16-year-old Layla Spring decided to leave her strong Kentucky roots to pursue the bright lights of Hollywood, she knew she had to bring her little sister along for the wild ride. Her amazing voice landed her an audition with the "American Idol" judges, which included '80s crooner Lionel Richie, pop star Katy Perry, and country singer Luke Bryan.

Before Layla began her audition, which aired on March 11, 2018, she took it upon herself to ask the judges if they'd be okay with her younger sister performing for them first. When the judges saw cute little Dyxie, with her pink-ruffled shirt, cowboy boots, and toothless smile, they couldn't resist letting her sing a short medley.

As soon as sweet Dyxie's precious voice started belting out LeeAnn Rimes' famous country hit "Blue", the judges were in awe. After she finished singing, all three judges voted "yes", with Perry giving the young starlet a Hollywood golden ticket valid for 2026 when Dyxie reaches the required age of 15.

With her little sister securing a future ticket to Hollywood, the pressure was really on Layla to knock the judges' socks off. The teenager, dressed in a pink and black ensemble, showed plenty of sass when she told the judges she was there to put on a show for them.

The young performer chose a surprising audition song, "Who's Loving You" by the Jackson 5. After explaining to the judges that she enjoys singing for her family and friends, Layla jumped into her performance.

After several impressive runs and riffs, the Kentucky-darling completed her song and anxiously awaited the judges' decisions. Perry was impressed with her singing and thought she could learn a lot in Hollywood while Richie was hesitant to send her into the lion's den of the entertainment world.

Ultimately, all three judges said "yes" and gave Layla her golden ticket to Hollywood. Although she impressed throughout the show's early weeks, Layla was cut just prior to the live rounds.

Did spunky Dyxie impress you with her robust voice or was Layla's smooth melody more pleasing to your ear? If this sister duo brought a smile to your face, be sure to pass this video on for others to delight in.
