Having the job as police officer comes with certain responsibilities. You need to be serious, committed, and fearless. However, these Norfolk police officers put all that on hold when they decided to partake in a lip sync battle. The video was created when one police department challenged other departments all over the country to a lip sync battle.

The police officers of Norfolk, Virginia were challenged by a Texas police department to participate in the contest. When the Norfolk police published their video online it went viral almost instantly, gaining millions of views in a very short amount of time. The song of choice for the Norfolk police was "Uptown Funk" by Bruno Mars. The video has everything a viral sensation needs: humor, dance moves, and talent.

The video was followed by a Facebook post where the police officers said they had a great time filming the video. The most surprising thing about the creation of the video is that is was only one take.

As is customary for the challenge, the Norfolk police challenged another police department. This time it was the Seattle Police Department that received the challenge. They also challenged the Norfolk Constabulary, the Virginia Beach Police Department and the Saint Louis Metropolitan PD.

These police departments will have to truly go above and beyond if they want to do better than the Norfolk Police Department.
