The drumming is thought to help the mental, physical, and emotional health. For a while, there was no research to prove whether or not the drumming helped people.

Now there is scientifical evidence to prove the beneficial effects of drumming. Recent research shows that drumming aids the immune system, causes rapid physical healing, produces feelings of well-being, eases emotional trauma, and reintegrates one's self. Stress, according to medical research, contribute to most diseases and is a primary cause of life-threatening illnesses.

Luckily, drumming can lower stress levels. Several illnesses are draining which is why drumming is so effective. It is a great distraction to the pain and grief that typically accompanies chronic illnesses. The rhythmic groove has also been proven to increase cancer-killing cells.
