Working in a restaurant is hard work and most wait staff is underpaid all around the world. It's definitely not easy knowing this and having to please customer's every need for your entire shift.

Tips don't really add up for the amount of work that goes into their jobs. Can you imagine the pain and aching they experience from standing on their feet for hours at a time?

Chelsea Ross is one of those waitresses that works at Smokehouse on Spring Street. She always manages to have a smile going but that doesn't mean she doesn't hurt. She has even cried after being told why she isn't getting a tip. Chelsea deserves a break like so many others!

She hasn't had the easiest life. She has had the trying task of raising her sister. She has also dealt with an eating disorder in which she now runs a non profit organization. This organization focuses on yoga in order to help others that have eating disorders. Even though Chelsea is dealing with so much in her own personal life, she doesn't let it on to others. She keeps that smile on her face all the time, especially when working.

She was recently faced with a couple that tells her that they have only enough money to cover their meal and there wouldn't be anything left to tip her with. She kept it together and maintained her normal happy composure. On the inside, she was completely torn up because she desperately needed that money to pay bills. She didn't let anything on, she even showed them compassion for the situation they were in

She was able to keep things together until they offered her a tip of a different kind. Then she was in complete shock.

Earlier during her shift, someone left a large sum of money on one of the tables she was covering. Without hesitation, she instantly wanted to divide it up with all of the coworkers.

She didn't understand what was going on with the customers that were coming through that day. She knew about the phrase "paying if forward" but this was so unexpected and unusual.
