These Baby Sloths Having A Conversation Is The Cutest Thing You'll See All Day

It's time for your daily dose of cuteness! Today, our prescription is for you to watch this video of three baby sloths having a very important conversation.

If you're like us, you probably have some heart-to-hearts with your pets now and again. They're great listeners! Maybe you even go all-out and make up a trademark cartoon voice and voice your pets' answers. It's okay, we understand. But have you ever wondered if other animals "talk" to each other like we do? They have to communicate somehow, right?

Well, these three adorable baby sloths demonstrated that animals do make communicative sounds. We aren't sure what they're saying, but we aren't complaining. Their cuteness makes up for the human-sloth language barrier.

Did you know? The three-toed sloth is the world's slowest animal. They appear to be motionless, but they actually move incredibly slowly. Their long arms are used to extend from tree branches in the rain-forest and support them for extremely long periods of time. People usually consider sloths like monkeys since they live in trees, but sloths are actually more closely related to the armadillo or anteater.

But just why are sloths so slow? National Geographic speculates their sluggish nature prevents predators from noticing them. Sloths move so slowly that they sometimes even develop algae on their bodies, which acts as additional camouflage in their natural habitats in South and Central America.

The adorable babies in the video are from the Sloth Sanctuary in Costa Rica. Caregivers at the sanctuary have been nursing baby sloths back to health since 1992. The organization hosts sloth tours to educate people about the animals, they even feature an adoption program that allows sloth fans from all over the world to donate to the sanctuary and receive an 11-inch stuffed sloth and certificate of adoption.

Do you love sloths as much as we do? Tell us in the comments and show this adorable video to your friends and family!
